This week's edition of Ours To Protect here on Radio Nova, we looked at the charity, The Gaelic Woodland Project.
Organised by skill sharing volunteers, this charity creates an ecologically complex patchwork of native habitats in Ireland.
They have started working on a project to acquire land for a native woodland to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the famine in 2045.
Traic spoke to Eoin Connerton, environmental scientist and founder of the Gaelic Woodland Project, to find out more about the charity.
Enjoy!
